Katerina Mouratou

Katerina joinedinterface as a Graduate Facade Engineer after completing her studies at the National Technical University of Athens, graduating in Architectural Engineering.

Katerina’s interest for building facades stems from an enthusiasm in careful construction detailing and the buildability of beautiful architecture. She is further expanding her knowledge of energy efficient solutions essential for modern building design, and would like to explore how facades can be enhanced with solutions based on environmental aspects, energy performance and shading/lighting needs.

Katerina’s broad architectural and engineering knowledge has proven critical during her time working on Interface’s landmark hotel building in central London which is currently at the Construction stage. Katerina is assisting in the review of the cladding contractor drawings and analysis, which will enable her to continue to build upon her knowledge to form a sound understanding of the complete facade design process from start to finish. Katerina’s architectural background will prove especially useful during her time working on our early stage prestigious office and retail development, with a net zero target.

Working at Interface, Katerina wishes to further develop her passion and knowledge of facade detailing and further expand her range of skills within the discipline.
